The exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and will consist of two sections. Both sections will feature objective-type, multiple-choice questions, and there will be no break between the two papers. Paper I will consist of 50 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. It will be primarily designed to assess the candidate’s reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness. Paper II will include 100 questions worth 200 marks and will be based on the subject chosen by the candidate, assessing their domain-specific knowledge.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the UGC NET city intimation slip 8 days before the exam to inform candidates of their assigned exam city.
